Production Process
The base material of Degofon ceiling products is stone wool produced according to the principle of volcanic eruption. DEGOFON products have a resin-bonded mineral wool core, consisting of at least 98% rock wool. Through advanced manufacturing technology technology, the solid rock is melted and converted into wool. The rock wool is then cut into different shapes, sizes and thick and surface treated to end up in different products.  applied to give the tiles an elegant and attractive surface finish.

Degofon products - made from unadulterated resin-bonded mineral wool - are 50% lighter than traditional wet process mineral fibers and gypsum ceilings.Since rock wool does not absorb moisture, the tiles can withstand 100% relative humidity and remain dimensionally stable. Rock wool does not contain organic nutrients and is therefore not subject to decay, fungus or bacteria. Due to Degofon's excellent moisture resistance and extremely low susceptibility to microorganisms, brown stains due to bacterial colonization have never appeared on Degofon's surface.
